Tail Hikes: Bubba

I don’t think Bubba was expecting to go to the woods today and, frankly, I think he was confused to find himself there. He snorted and waddled along the trail at first, looking around as if searching for concrete sidewalks and passing cars, but as we kept hiking, his little legs picked up the pace. If walruses had legs, they might resemble Bubba, and watching him trot through the woods was a sight I had never even imagined. Then he would find a stick he liked on the side of the path and just stop to chew on it for a while, like a little engine out of steam and happy for the break.

I hope Bubba is
dreaming of trees
and streams and
sticks tonight!
